Ravens Looking To Stay In Playoff Chase CBS Baltimore2014-Nov-13

Ravens Looking To Stay In Playoff Chase CBS Baltimore

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Quarterback Jay Cutler is out again and cornerback Charles Tillman won be back unless the Chicago Bears make the playoffs. The way this season going, that no sure thing.

With the losses and injuries piling up, the Bears (5 4) host the Baltimore Ravens (4 5) on Sunday in a matchup between teams trying to stay in postseason contention.

They tied for second with Green Bay in the NFC North, a game behind Detroit after dropping four of six. The Lions beat Chicago 21 19 last week Tony Gonzalez Kids Jersey to complete a two game sweep, and beyond that, the injuries continue.

Cutler suffered a high left ankle sprain in the second quarter after sitting out a win at Green Bay with torn groin muscle, forcing the Bears to go with Josh McCown on Chicago final drive. McCown is week to week.

Tillman suffered a torn right triceps muscle in the second half and was placed on injured reserve/designated to return. He is eligible to play again in eight weeks, but with only seven games remaining, the two time Pro Bowl cornerback is out for the rest of the regular season. Williams (torn pectoral muscle) both on injured reserve.

don make excuses about it, coach Marc Trestman said. backups are) here because they expected to play. Ravens are trying to stay relevant in the AFC playoff race and get back to .500 after breaking a three game skid with a 20 17 overtime victory over Cincinnati. It would help if they got their run game going and nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Desmond-Trufant-Jersey.html more production from quarterback Joe Flacco. That largely hinges on a struggling offensive line coming together, something it hasn done.

With that in mind, here are five things to know about this game:

MCCOWN ANSWERING CALL: So far, McCown has given the Bears all they could ask for when they turned to him.

The veteran is 42 of 70 for 538 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in three games, including a surprising win at Green Bay with Cutler nursing a groin injury.

He nearly pulled off the comeback last week, hitting Brandon Marshall with a TD pass. But a 2 point Tony Gonzalez Youth Jersey conversion failed.

MAKING A RUN: Chicago can stop the run and Baltimore can get its ground game going, so maybe something will give here. Both teams have been strong in those areas over the years, but it been a different story this season, with the Bears 31st against the run and the Ravens 30th Steven Jackson Red Jersey in rushing.

The Bears are allowing 129.4 yards per game. Now, they have to contend with Ray Rice. But that suddenly doesn seem like such a daunting task even with a depleted defense. Rice has just 289 yards and is averaging a mere 2.5 per carry after four straight 1,000 yard seasons.

know once the opportunity comes and we rip off one of those big gains, we be saying, Well there it goes, Rice said.

FEELING HEAT: Flacco has certainly been under pressure, and it has nothing to do with that $120.6 million contract he signed after leading the Ravens to the championship last season. It coming from opposing defenses. Shipley and he taking a beating. He been sacked five times in three of the past four games to bring his season total to 30, and he has thrown about as many touchdowns (12) as interceptions (11). By comparison, he had 11 scoring passes without getting picked off during a postseason run last year that culminated with a Super Bowl MVP and ultimately led to that huge deal.

you going to put guys up in there, you going to double mug Steven Jackson Women Jersey guys, and you going to bring guys off the edge you going to do all these things you going to play one on one coverage, (then) we got to make it hurt, Flacco said. we just haven been good enough to really have teams feel the effect, or the negative effects, of them doing it. WOES: While the Ravens are 3 1 at home, the road has not been kind to them. They 1 4, and their lone win was by three at Miami. The Ravens gave up seven touchdown passes to Peyton Manning in a 49 27 season opening rout at Denver. Their other losses were by six points or less: 23 20 at Buffalo, 19 16 at Pittsburgh and 24 18 at Cleveland.

NOT QUITE READY: nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Robert-Alford-Jersey.html The Bears signed former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff two weeks ago to boost their line, knowing he was two to four weeks away from being able to contribute. He won be in uniform Sunday.

Rex Ryan offers no guarantees of Geno Smith's starting 2014-Nov-13

Rex Ryan offers no guarantees of Geno Smith's starting job after NY Jets lose to Ravens

BALTIMORE Rex Ryan wasted no time saying that Geno Smith was his starting quarterback after last week's loss to Buffalo. On Sunday, the coach offered no such guarantees.

"I'm not going to talk about any individual," Ryan said after the Jets' Roddy White Jersey 19 3 loss to the Ravens in which Smith couldn't even move the team a little bit and threw two more interceptions. "Starter, backup, whatever. I want to watch the tape."

Smith said he wasn't worried about losing his starting job, but added, "I'm not going to sit here and say that my job is 100% secure because every single guy in this locker room has to prove themselves daily."

Asked if he thinks he's still the quarterback to lead the Jets to the playoffs, Smith said, "I know I am."

When Willie Colon was asked about outsiders possibly calling for a quarterback change, the guard at least hinted at support of the rookie while declining to answer the question.

"You're going to make me curse, so next question," Colon said. "I'm trying not to curse."Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (55) celebrates his fumble recovery with teammate and ex Jet James Ihedigbo.

Santonio Holmes was asked if the offense's issues were a result of Smith being a rookie.

"Why would I do that? Why would I blame it on my starting quarterback? Next question," Holmes said.

The locker room was in that kind of volatile state after the Jets' see saw, in which they had alternated Roddy White Women Jersey wins and losses from the very first week, finally came to www.coltsnflprostore.com/Nike-Darius-Butler-Jersey.html a halt. Their second straight loss put them on the wrong side of .500 for the first time this season.

It also dropped them, at 5 6, out of the sixth playoff spot due to tiebreakers. With the Jets playing it ultra conservative with Smith, they put forth another cringe worthy day on offense that ended without a touchdown.

Smith finished the day 9 for 22 for 127 yards and the two picks.

"I'll take it upon myself to be the first one to say that I didn't play that well," Smith said. "And I've got to pick it up. And I've got to find a way to spark the offense, somehow, some way."

Of course, it could be backup quarterback Matt Simms who is under center when the Jets play for their season against the Dolphins next week.

Tight end Kellen Winslow refused to endorse one quarterback over the other.

"Got a lot of confidence in whoever's out there," Winslow said. "Whoever is our quarterback or whoever is representing the Jets we have confidence in."

Gang Green's playoff hopes took a double hit since the loss came against a team that's in the wild Matt Ryan Women Jersey card chase.

The Ravens (5 6) now hold the head to head tiebreaker over the Jets, and leapfrogged them in the standings. Six AFC teams are nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Julio-Jones-Jersey.html tied at 5 6, with the Titans currently holding the sixth playoff spot.

"We're out of lifelines Matt Ryan Authentic Jersey right now," Colon said.

Lost in the mess of the offense was the fact that the defense largely played well. That the Jets were able to hold the Ravens to 19 points was an accomplishment, considering seven of Gang Green's 12 drives ended in three and outs (and another with a fumble on the third play).

Super Bowl 2013 Gambling2014-Nov-13

Super Bowl 2013 Gambling

Unaudited tallies show 183 sports books made $7.2 million on the football action. The San Francisco 49ers started out as a 5 point favorite but the Baltimore Ravens won 34 31.

Odds makers say California fans drove the unprecedented handle, flooding Las www.nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Roddy-White-Jersey.html Vegas and the Lake Tahoe area with wagers on the hometown team, which hadn't been in the Super Bowl since 1995.

Bookmakers speculated that the popularity of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who played his college football at Nevada, drove some of the betting among locals.

The previous record was set in 2006, when gamblers wagered $94.5 million on the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Book makers said they took a beating this year on proposition bets, including a long shot on whether there would nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Matt-Ryan-Jersey.html be a safety. Ravens punter Sam Koch took a safety for the final score with 4 seconds left.

Casinos retained 7.3 percent of the millions wagered, slightly less than the average hold during the past decade, which has fluctuated from lows of negative 2.8 percent to highs of 17 percent.

The 65 points scored in New Orleans easily exceeded the over/under of 49. Gamblers bet the line down 1 1/2 points before the game to give the 49ers a 3 1/2 handicap by kickoff.

Johnny Avello, director of race and sports at Wynn Las Vegas, said the big plays that characterized Sunday's game and made it fun to watch were gloomy news for casinos, which offer a growing list of proposition bets on everything from whether quarterbacks Darius Butler Blue Jersey will throw interceptions to whether teams will score in the final two minutes of the first half.

"Everything that could've happened yesterday almost did," Avello said. "All the props Darius Butler Authentic Jersey Will this guy pass by this much?' Will this guy make this many receptions' all of those were, Yes.'"

"The safety was awful," he added. "When we cashed last night, it seemed like everyone had a bet on a safety."

Casinos paid out at 9 to 1 for the safety. Fans who bet that the 49ers' final score would be on a safety cashed in at 50 to 1.

Sports books also paid out big last year when Julio Jones Red Jersey the New York Julio Jones Women Jersey Giants played the New England Patriots and the first score of the game was a safety. Next year, Avello plans to lower the odds for that outcome.

Nevada sports books have lost only twice on the Super Bowl in the past 20 years, most recently in 2008, when New York beat the Patriots, costing casinos a record $2.6 million.

one quarter of the season has passed2014-Nov-13

2013 Week 5 NFL Picks

For 30 of the 32 NFL teams, one quarter of the season has passed. Believe it or not, we have entered October and week 5 of the 2013 NFL season. As far as predictions are concerned, September is generally my worst month to pick games because it is hard to figure teams out. This past week, I did step it up from week 3 by going 9 6. I wanted to give a shout out to MakaylaBrooks, fredvr22,and kdeany17for beating me in my weekly ESPN pick game. I feel as if I have a better grasp on the games, and I am going to try to improve upon my 37 26 (58.73%) season record and get back into the area that I was in last year. Let take a look at the 2013 week 5 NFL picks:

Buffalo Bills (2 2) vs. Manuel and the Bills are coming off an upset win over the Ravens. While Baltimore tends to be inconsistent, Buffalo has impressed early on. I highly doubt that they will be able to make any contender noise, especially with the Patriots in the division. However, with Manuel, and young running back CJ Spiller, the Bills are a team to watch in the coming years. For the Browns, on the other hand, it will probably take longer. After trading Trent Richardson, Cleveland has kind of signaled that they are just not ready to win yet. Another thing that this team is dealing with is the quarterback situation. After Brandon Weeden got injured, quarterback Brian Hoyer has filled in rather nicely, leading the Browns to back to back wins and now a .500 record. I highly doubt that Hoyer is the next Tom Brady, but it causes serious questions on who the Browns are going to start under center. This is a very tough pick between two fairly bad teams. However, Bills running back CJ Spiller has admitted that he might not play. And the game is in Cleveland. Winner: Browns

New Orleans Saints (4 0) vs. Chicago Bears (3 1) Drew Brees and the Saints have looked nothing but sharp, as they sit at a perfect 4 0 after four weeks of play. In the preseason, I picked the Falcons to win the NFC South, but I am not so sure anymore. That passing offense is simply incredible, and New Orleans also has a decent rushing attack with Darren Sproles. As long as their defense does not look like they did last year, look for the Saints to cruise into the playoffs. The Bears have also been a rather impressive team so far, but that did not hold true last week against the Lions. I still believe that if Jay Cutler can limit his inconsistency and use wide receiver Brandon Marshall to his advantage, the Bears can be a playoff team. Mix this in with a good running back in Matt Forte and a fantastic defense, and you have something potentially exciting going on in the Windy City. Nevertheless, there is a fine difference between these two teams. The Saints are elite. The Bears are not. Winner: Saints

New England Patriots (4 0) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (2 2) The Patriots did a good job of quieting my doubts in last week's win over the Falcons. While I believe that the Patriots receiving crew is a weakness, elite quarterback Tom Brady can definitely pass the ball efficiently. The other good news is that New England should be getting tight end Rob Gronkowski back in the near future, adding some veteran talent to that receiving core. At 4 0, the Patriots look strong and playoff bound. The Bengals, on the other hand, have been an inconsistent team so far in 2013. After beating the Packers in week 3, this team goes into Cleveland and loses to Brian Hoyer and the Browns. If Andy Dalton and the crew want to be Super Bowl contenders, they have to eliminate those kinds of performances. Green, oncoming running back Giovani Bernard, and a decent defense, this team has the talent. However, a combination of a silly loss to the Browns and a defeat to Tom Brady and the Patriots will put them below the .500 mark to start the 2013 season. Winner: Patriots

Jacksonville Jaguars (0 4) vs. St. Louis Rams (1 3) The Jaguars are so bad, it is funny. With the exception of wide receiver Cecil Shorts, this team has just been flat out terrible. Even running back Maurice Jones Drew has not been producing. I wholesale nfljerseys consider them the worst team in the league, and no other organization even comes that close. The Rams have also not been impressive so far. After getting thumped by the 49ers last Thursday night, I am beginning to question the future of this team. The play of quarterback Sam Bradford has not been very impressive and the fact that they have a very weak running game does not help either. If the St. Louis loses this, it is panic time. Winner: Rams

Baltimore Ravens (2 2) vs. Miami Dolphins (2 1) These last two weeks is exactly why I never know how to analyze the Ravens. In week 3, they got a blowout win against a good Texans team. In week 4, they lose to the Bills. There is no doubt about the fact that they are talented with quarterback Joe Flacco (when he limits those interceptions), wide receiver Torrey Smith and even elite running back Ray Rice (do not let some bad games underrate him). If they can pull through and limit the inconsistency, they are a strong playoff threat. If they are inconsistent, however, it might be tough getting back to the playoffs. The Dolphins also might have a tough time getting to the postseason. It is not because I think they are a bad team. There are just better clubs around. While quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Lamar Miller, and wide receiver Mike Wallace are talented, the offense needs another year or two to develop. I would not be shocked if they were able to make some sort of contention noise, but I do not see them as realistic threats. This is a very difficult pick, mainly because of the inconsistent play of the Ravens. However, since they are at home, and have had Wholesale NFL Jerseys Supply some impressive performances, I will take Miami to improve to 3 1. Winner: Dolphins

Philadelphia Eagles (1 3) vs. New York Giants (0 4) After a rather impressive week 1 performance, Michael Vick and the Eagles have looked bad ever since. While this team is talented with running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver DeSean Jackson, Michael Vick is a very overrated quarterback and I do not believe the Eagles will do much of anything with him under center. Speaking of bad teams, we have the Giants. All I have to say iswow. In the preseason, I thought that Eli Manning and this club would win the division. They have looked terrible since week 1. While Manning is still a two time Super Bowl champion, wide receivers Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks remain great receivers, and New York still has a lot of talent, I no longer see it happening for this team as far as the playoffs are concerned. This is a difficult pick. However, looking at the rosters, I just cannot pick Vick's team to go on the road and beat a champion veteran like Manning, especially with all of the other talent the G men have on their roster. I will take New York in a squeaker. Winner: Giants

Detroit Lions (3 1) vs. Green Bay Packers (1 2) Matthew Stafford and the Lions had a very impressive performance last week against the Bears. At 3 1 and atop the division, perhaps the Lions could be more of contenders than I thought. With Stafford, running back Reggie Bush, and the best wide receiver in the league with Calvin Johnson, I am beginning to like this team more in the NFC. After kind of a rough start, the division foes Packers are coming off their bye week rested and ready to go. Despite the 1 2 commencement, I really am not worried about this team. They have a fantastic quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, plenty of weapon receivers, an emerging running game, and a good defense. While the Lions have brought it, I think Green Bay will have a little too much at home. Winner: Packers

Kansas City Chiefs (4 0) vs. Tennessee Titans (3 1) Alex Smith and the Chiefs are off to an impressive start to the 2013 season. While they have not beaten any great teams, I am beginning to see them as more of playoff contenders with Smith, elite running back Jamaal Charles, and some decent weapon wide receivers. The Titans have also looked decent throughout the first four weeks, even though they have bad news. It appears that quarterback Jake Locker will have to miss at least a few weeks because of a hip injury. This is a big blow because I have really begun to like Locker more and more in this 2013 season. With the injury, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the start under center. While Fitzpatrick is obviously no Peyton Manning, he has shown some signs of being decent when he was a Buffalo Bill, leaving some sort of hope in that regard. With a pretty good running game in Chris Johnson, the Titans might still have enough to at least keep things somewhat interesting in the AFC. Nevertheless, Kansas City should have too much. Winner: Chiefs

Seattle Seahawks (4 0) vs. Indianapolis Colts (3 1) The Seahawks proved that they can take their winnings on the road, as they beat the Texans in Houston last week. I am beginning to like this team more and more. If quarterback Russell Wilson, elite running back Marshawn Lynch, and those young receivers can continue to produce, look for the Seahawks to be Super Bowl contenders. Andrew Luck and the Colts also have been playing like Super Bowl contenders lately. With the very talented Luck, new running back Trent Richardson, and some decent receivers, the Colts are now looking like a strong playoff team. Strong enough, as a matter of fact, to squeak out a win over the Seahawks at home. Winner: Colts

Carolina Panthers (1 2) vs. Arizona Cardinals (2 2) (Sunday at 4:05 PM ET) The Panthers are a team who I am just not a huge believer in. Sure, quarterback Cam Newton is talented and has the ability to make the big throw. The problem for this club is that they really do not have a lot of other weapons. Their receiving crew is fairly inconsistent, and their running game with DeAngelo Williams is just mediocre. Probably not a playoff team. The Cardinals are also probably not a playoff team. While Carson Palmer and the crew got a comeback win last week against the Buccaneers, it was the Buccaneers. Palmer has improved this team, and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald also looks pretty sharp. However, there are simply better teams more deserving of a playoff spot than Arizona. This is a tough pick between two relatively even teams. Coming off their bye week well rested, I will take Carolina in a tight one. Winner: Panthers

Denver Broncos (4 0) vs. Dallas Cowboys (2 2) (Sunday at 4:25 PM ET) The Broncos are off to one of the greatest starts I have ever seen. Peyton Manning and all of his weapons make running an NFL offense look easy and they are definitely the best team in the NFL right now. The Cowboys look like they do every year: inconsistent. I guess that is what you should expect when you have Tony Romo running the offense. While the NFC East is a wide open division this year, and it is definitely possible for the Cowboys to get to the playoffs, I am just not a believer in Romo. Sure, the Cowboys have a great wide receiver in Dez Bryant, and a good running attack with DeMarco Murray. But with Romo under center, they are simply not going to get very far. There is no way they win this game, even at home. Winner: Broncos

Houston Texans (2 2) vs. San Francisco 49ers (2 2) (Sunday at 8:30 PM ET) There are is one big thing that concerns me about the Texans: their inconsistency. They have yet to beat a good team, and they got crushed by the Ravens in week 3. This team is very talented and well balanced with quarterback Matt Schaub and wide receiver Andre Johnson on the passing attack, and running back Arian Foster running the ball. Nevertheless, things have not always clicked and that does get me worried. The 49ers, on the other hand, got right on track last week against the Rams. I have not lost faith in quarterback Colin Kaepernick's offense, and with good offensive weapons and a stellar defense, I consider them an elite team. At home, I will also pick them to beat the up and down Texans. Winner: 49ers

San Diego Chargers (2 2) vs. Oakland Raiders (1 3) (Sunday at 11:35 PM ET) The Chargers are, to put it simply, a mediocre team. Quarterback Phillip Rivers is mediocre, running back Ryan Matthews is mediocre, their receivers are mediocre, and their defense ismediocre. I do not think that this team has enough to get into the postseason, especially considering the fact that they play in the AFC West. However, I do think San Diego will have enough to beat bad teams. While I see some potential with the Raiders, I consider them among the worst teams in the NFL. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor has shown some flashes of talent, but the truth is that they just do not have enough, especially with Darren McFadden going down. Even though they are on the road, I will pick the team who I trust a little more to win this late Sunday night showdown. Winner: Chargers

New York Jets (2 2) vs. Atlanta Falcons (1 3) (Monday at 8:30 PM ET) Rookie quarterback Geno Smith is playing like a typical rookie quarterback. The Jets are just not built to win, and their biggest hope this season should be for Smith to play wholesale jerseys well so he can be the face of the Jets' future. They just do not have that much talent at all positions, and I consider them among the NFL's worst. While the Falcons have been off to somewhat of a disappointing start, let us revisit the teams that they have lost to: the Saints, the Dolphins, and the Patriots. These teams have a combined record of 11 1. While that Dolphins loss concerns me a tad, I do not believe that it is time to Sewn NFL Jerseys press the panic button. This team has plenty of talent with quarterback Matt Ryan, wide receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White, tight end Tony Gonzalez, and running back Steven Jackson (when he is healthy). I fully expect them to get right back on track in this week 5 finale. Winner: Falcons

Tragedy inspires Michigan2014-Nov-13

Tragedy inspires Michigan

It was the most traumatic night of his life, Nike NFL Jerseys and also the most important.

Jabrill Peppers, the All American, do it all gridiron superstar from Paramus cheap nfl jerseys Catholic High School in northern New Jersey, came home one January night in 2010, and immediately he knew something was wrong. His mother, Ivory Bryant, was in Nike NFL Jerseys sales tears. Soon, he would be too.

His older brother Don Curtis, his mentor and hero, was gone, murdered at the Lucky Joy Chinese restaurant in Newark at the age of 20. With his father, Terry Peppers, already in prison on Wholesale Jerseys China weapons charges, Peppers was left without a male role model in gang infested East Orange, less than a year before he was set to begin high school.

At that moment, Peppers made a decision that would shape his life. Clutching his mother, he told her, "I'm not going to end up like my brother. Whatever I have to do to make it the right way, I'll do."

The consensus second ranked player in the nation and a straight A student, the dynamic 6 foot 1, 210 bound Peppers has verbally committed to the University of Michigan. If he can lead nationally ranked Paramus Catholic to a second straight state wholesale nfl jerseys title, some believe he will end his Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale career which would include four state titles as the most decorated player in the history of New Jersey high school football a list that includes several NFL players, like Texans linebacker Brian Cushing and Ravens Super Bowl MVP quarterback Joe Flacco.

"He goes down as the No.

A mixture of speed, power, elusiveness, football smarts and desire, MSG Varsity's Mike Quick can't remember one player in 27 years of covering high school football in the state of New Jersey who has made such an impact on Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap both sides of the ball.

A shutdown cornerback, hard hitting safety, home run hitting running back, game breaking wide receiver and Wildcat quarterback, Peppers is asked to wear many hats for Paramus Catholic, and he makes his presence felt with each one.

He scored 23 touchdowns last year for Paramus Catholic, currently ranked third in the nation by USA Today, while accumulating nearly 2,000 total yards, in addition to 77 tackles and three interceptions. Through four games this fall, he has six touchdowns and a team high 499 total yards, 14 tackles and two picks, one for a score.

Peppers garnered the top spot on ESPN "SportsCenter's" Top 10 plays for a highlight reel run in an August scrimmage, which immediately went viral. Peppers scored on a 30 yard scamper run in which he broke nine Cheap NFL Jerseys tackles and spun off two defenders before carrying a third seven yards into the end zone.

"He's always one touch away from scoring a touchdown," Quick said. "He has the biggest fear factor [of a player] I've ever covered."

At the time of his brother's death, Peppers said he wasn't necessarily headed in the wrong direction, but it was "iffy."

"I was doing what I was supposed to, but I was also doing things I wasn't supposed to," he said.

Curtis lived a life in the streets. They often talked about their two different lives, and Curtis wanted to make sure his younger brother didn't follow his path.

"You got a little gift, bro. Get Mommy that house she always wanted," Peppers remembered his brother saying once. "I'm doing it the wrong way. You can do it the right way."

With his brother gone and his father in prison, Bryant was left alone to raise her son. Despite working long hours as a social worker to support, she has missed just wholesale jerseys three of his games, dating back to Peppers' Pop Warner days.

She always stressed academics and responsibility first, before sports. Anything less than a B plus means no football. His sophomore year, Peppers received a C plus in Spanish, and Bryant held him out of a game. The coaches tried to change her mind. Peppers cried. Bryant wouldn't budge.

"I needed to make my point," she said. "He got that B plus the next time, and he's maintained his grades since."

Peppers' talent is just a part of his complete package, which is why Quick said "he's the most unique athlete I've covered." A standout student who sports a wholesale nfl jerseys 4.0 GPA, he's also an aspiring rapper cheap jerseys rhyming about football, girls and his everyday life and is a Wholesale Jerseys state champion sprinter.

He's released a few songs under the name "JReall" and announced his commitment to Michigan on ESPNU with a rap. How can you not be impressed?

His on field exploits led Paramus Catholic to a state title last year, but his off field character impressed teammates and coaches even more.

When word spread Peppers was headed to Paramus Catholic, new teammates imagined a prima donna, a cocksure kid with loads of scholarship offers used to getting media attention who would demand superstar treatment. Instead, they got a quiet leader, a relentlessly hard working player who makes sure everyone arrives on time for practices and team meetings; who is the one to remind everyone to push themselves during weight lifting sessions if there is too much talking; who complained about missing classes to meet with college recruiters, which has rubbed off on teammates; who is basically "a coach on the field," Paramus Catholic senior quarterback Steve Shanley said.

His position at the next level likely is cornerback, though the Michigan coaching staff figures to use him on select packages on offense. Shanley said his plan, if he was facing Peppers, would be to focus on the defensive side.

"Stay away," Shanley warned. "He tampers with your routes as a wide receiver in every way possible. Name it and he'll do it.
